Vision Quest Off-Season Training Draws to a Close

Rob Ehrman asked that we post the following:

————————————-

This is a reminder that the Vision Quest/Team Magellan off-season workout plan has drawn to a close, so there will be no further Wednesday or Sunday morning workouts beginning this week (ie, no workouts March 12 or March 16) . However, we know that the weather is not yet perfectly amenable to outdoor training, so we will be offering a small number of spots in existing VQ classes on Tuesdays at 630am and Saturdays at 10am starting tomorrow, March 11. This 8 week program will include the 2 weekly rides (indoors for now, but outside once the weather improves) and the Sunday swim from 12-2pm at UIC in the small pool for $185. Please contact Rob Ehrman (rob@visionquestcoaching.com) for further details.

The Unofficial Team Charity

Here’s an editorial from today’s Chicago Tribune on how to honor a veteran:

http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/opinion/editorials/chi-0312edit2mar12,0,5992787.story

I have been told that 90% of Americans do not know someone serving in the armed forces. You are not among them. Racing with you on Team Magellan at IMC will be Master Chief Paul Tharp of the United States Navy Seals.

At our social gathering tomorrow, I will tell you more about Paul and what he’s doing here in the frozen midwest, and about the unofficial charity of Team Magellan — The Naval Special Warfare Foundation.
