Fit to be Fit

I was speaking with Matt Hoffmann (one of the coaches this weekend) and he may be willing to fly back out to provide fit services to those that are interested. We are targeting the weekend after next (June 28/29th). Please email at dcarlins@magellandevelopment.com if you are interested. I think we would schedule the fits all day Saturday and a morning ride on Sunday so Matt could make any minor adjustments on Sunday. He would come with Profile products to purchase for bars, stems, etc.  I don’t know what the costs would be but we will have a better estimate after we know how many people are in. I hope everyone enjoyed the weekend and thanks to those who participated!

Join us on the MS 150

Join us Saturday, June 21 and Sunday, June 22 for the “MS 150.” We are amassing a large group of endurance athletes to ride 100 miles on Saturday and 75 miles on Sunday (shorter route options available if those distances aren’t in your plan that weekend).  We will have a lot of fun and get in our workouts while raising money for a good cause. A mad game of flippy cup with this years headline sponsor, Goose Island, is already brewing for the overnight at NIU!!!

If you are afraid that the flat course isn’t good preparation for IM Canada - - no worries.  We will be throwing in some threshold efforts and a transition run at NIU.  If you still feel you didn’t get enough of a workout, you can prove it by doing  a keg stand for everyone else ;)

Registration is currently $40 if you join the team and this goes toward your suggested $300 fund-raising minimum - - you have until 9/30/08 to meet the minimum goal and in the past we have found this to be fairly easy to do with so much time allotted to do it in.  When you register, make sure you join our team: “140.6ers against MS.”

A little background: Approximately 400,000 people nationwide, including 20,000 here in Illinois, live with the devastating effects of multiple sclerosis - a chronic, progressive, and often disabling disease of the central nervous system. Our goal is to raise $2 million (our teams goal is not quite that lofty, don’t be intimidated!), to support men and women statewide who battle MS and to help find the cause and cure.

Register to ride and be sure to link your page to ours and be a part of our team effort!!!
