Ride In Memory of John Olin.

If you haven’t seen it, John Olin’s formal obituary appeared in the Monday, June 15 Chicago Tribune:

John’s funeral on Saturday drew over 500 mourners, many of them bicyclists.  A ride has been organized in memory of John on Fathers Day, this Sunday, June 21 starting at 7:30 AM.  They’re planning an easy pace (i.e., 17-18mph avg), no drop ride starting and ending at Plaza de Lago in Wilmette.  The ride winds up the north shore to Lake Bluff and will follow one of the routes that John rode many times over the last 20 years.  A map of the proposed route is at:

The full route will be around 40 miles.
